suggested the reduction of the Office of Assistant Harbour Master, I have the honor to inform Your Lordship that the 16th instant I dispensed with the

of Mr. Lend

capacity, but in consideration of his claims and services I appointed him to the situation of Clerk in the Registration Office, for the purpose of assisting the Colonial Treasurer, under whose charge that Department has been placed since the departure of Mr Inglis,
